Gloop for sculpture - gloop rzeźbiarski △6 Oxidation
https://glazy.org/recipes/111167 - Himmelsholm
- Silica 34.00 (krzemionka)
- Kaolin 26.00 (kaolin)
- Feldspar 21.00 (skaleń)
- Whiting 10.00 (kreda)
- Ferro Frit#3124 9.00 (fryta boro-wapienna)
Total 100.00
I work with the glaze on plasterboard until it is like soft clay. Then roll coils to the desired thickness and hang in place.
I keep a close eye on the kiln's peephole and switch off when the cone 6 has been bent to 45 degrees.

"Normal" Gloop. This is a demonstration of "gloop" at a more normal glaze chemistry with a fixed flux ratio of 0.25:0.75, boron level of 0.15, and Silica:Alumina ratio of 8.0.
These tests were created using a line blend, moving from low to high Silica and Alumina. At the low end, the blends are proper glazes, while at the high end the blends act more like self-glazing clays. The middle blends can be classified as "gloops".
This is the third test of the line blend, with the third highest level of Alumina and Silica. It is a "soft" gloop.
Other tests from this blend:
"Normal" Hard Gloop - https://glazy.org/recipes/99927
"Normal" Medium Gloop - https://glazy.org/recipes/100382
Note: I added Veegum T so that the gloop is more plastic and more easily molded in the wet stage. You could substitute Veegum with Bentonite, or you could just leave it out completely. I added some Mason Stain for color, you could also leave it out for a white gloop.
